## So what is the difference?

I must confess I never heard about [Enneagram](https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/?ref=pulpconversations.com) until [Sara](https://expinstitute.com/about?ref=pulpconversations.com) told me about and I never heard about [Spiral Dynamics](https://spiraldynamics.org/resources/books/?ref=pulpconversations.com) until [Jordan](https://www.origincreative.ca/about-us?ref=pulpconversations.com) told me about that.

But since then, I tried to go to school on both frameworks to understand them better.

My current understanding is that Enneagram is about *who you are* and *why you do what you do*; Spiral Dynamics is about *how you think* and *what you value* as you evolve.

Enneagram is a map of your inner landscape.

Spiral Dynamics is a map of your worldview’s altitude.

### Sara is Enneagram 7: The Enthusiast

Sara and I discussed some of her trepidations and contemplations about having a child, especially in light of her Enneagram-style.
